After the war, Lan Wangji has taken Wei Wuxian back home, back to their makeshift house in the town. They rested from exhaustion, slept for what seemed like days. Their shared bed begins to carry their mixed scents of roses, apples, and rainstorms.

Life gradually returns to normal as it could be. Lan Wangji woke up earlier and went downstairs doing errands and chores. One late morning, when Wei Wuxian finally wakes up to find the bed empty. He will find a single red rose resting next to him on his pillow. A gift from his mate.

[The blessing baskets are usually empty and perhaps, just decor for the bedroom. However, one morning, Wei Wuxian will find a few unusual, but very pleasant surprises appear next to his basket.

Next to his basket, on the floor, there's a giant ceramic jar with a red silk covering on the top, just as big and heavy like a barrel. The weight of it is close to 160lbs if he tries to lift the jar. When he lifts the red silk coverings and lifts up the cover lid, there's no mistaken it. It's Emperor smiles, his favorite liquor that is only made in Gusu City, which apparently it does not exist in Deerington until now. The jar is his to drink to his heart's content.

Upon closer look, there's a gold ring sitting inside the basket. It looks ordinary. Since there's no person other than Lan Wangji in the house, he may have placed it there. If he puts it on, he'll discover a sense of warmth, love, comfort, and protection especially when he's near him in close distance. For however long it will take him to discover, he'll find that wearing the ring, he can sense Lan Wangji's energy around since he is also wearing an identical gold ring.

Last, but not least, in their bedroom, besides the ordinary closet filled with clothes of this world from the department store and thrift shop, there's a new closet next to it, in a familiar design and art from their homeworld. For however long it will take him, he will discover his own clothes of various styles including his hanfu robes and undergarments, black shoes, hair ribbons, it just appears whenever he needs it, all brand new. Up until now, they suffer a shortage of their own clothes, but the closet just fixes that and now he has a different robe to wear every day]

[In the morning, Wei Wuxian will find that his blessing basket will have an assortment of gifts. Lan Wangji's basket has other gifts also, but Wei Wuxian's gifts are unique and they are specifically for him. Wei Wuxian will find the following around his basket:

- Nine-tail fox plushie: The plushie looks realistic and life-like, it's a red fox with nine-tails. Wei Wuxian will discover the doll is enchanted and magical later.
- A fox kigurumi (pajamas) that will fit just his size, fox-shaped pillows, a blanket with foxes on it, and bedsheets with fox prints on it. It's magical and enchanted to help him sleep comfortably for restless nights. The items will appear exactly as Wei Wuxian will like it.
- A jar of lotus seeds: Go ahead and snack on it, the jar will magically refill itself at the end of the day
- There's also a magic photo album that contains photos of their family and friends, but Lan Wangji will assemble the pictures into frames much later]

[ Inside Wei Wuxian's mailbox, there is a nondescript white envelope with his name on it. Inside, there is a colorful pog, with a message written on the back in silver fine-tipped sharpie. There's no stamp on the envelope, implying that it was hand delivered rather than mailed. ]

[ The pog is enchanted with dream magic, so that it can be given as a gift, but cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed. ]

It's a day late as his birthday is yesterday, but the supermarket finally opens and food becomes available once again. Resources are still scarce, so they make what they have until the town gradually becomes normal. While both of them feel lousy from the flu, Lan Wangji does everything he can to make life flow and feel like normal again.

Later in the evening, there is a warm smell in the kitchen. When Wei Wuxian is strong enough to investigate, there on the table is a small baked strawberry shortcake and a healthy-looking bento dinner served with a bowl of miso-soup waiting for him.

"Wei Ying, are you up? Do you feel any better?"

One morning, Lan Wangji got up very early, leaving his husband sleeping, and went to the sinkhole of Mount Rheum, where people go to summon what they need and he's been there for at least a few hours. By afternoon, when Wei Wuxian wakes up, he'll find Lan Wangji sleeping and napping on his side of the bed, which is odd. However, once he does and goes out, he noticed the house has completely changed.

It's now much bigger and spacious with an extra third floor. When he goes up, he'll find empty rooms with bathrooms. If he explores the bathroom with their hot-tub, its now looks like a real health spa with assortment of oils, shampoos, lotions, and etc inside the cabinet with a mirror and lights.

When he goes down to the lobby, the area is bigger too, the store part with the front desk and register with the shelves has more in stock. The dining area is bigger and there's a mini bar with drinks lined up in a row.

When he goes outside, the courtyard with the garden and trees is bigger, and the pasture grass is now bigger, big enough for the horses and donkey to grazed on with a fence around the barn. If he steps back to view at a distance, there's a house next to them gone missing. That because the house, the courtyard, and land has doubled in size.

There's a gate with large doors with a tall stoned wall fence encircling around the property of their home with a sign above written in their language that said, "Jingshi Inn".

Either way, with the house looking like a small mansion, Lan Wangji will wake up soon to make lunch for their afternoon.

Hello, sensei! I have a customer for you that I'll be bringing by the shop soon. He seems to be a Paleblood and dislikes that he's glowing. It doesn't seem to be harmful, but he appeared upset about it.

[ One day, while she's at the shop for lessons, Hotaru hands him a wrapped gift and inside he'll find a blank music notebook, so he has a place to store all the songs to share with his husband someday! It comes along with a calligraphy set and a place to keep them in easy reach. ]
