"Okay okay..so no punishment. Only reward." Because he really doesn't want to do chores. Unless of course Lan Wangji actually wanted the house to fall apart, in which case go ahead and put Wei Wuxian in charge of chores. He'll be punished anyway if Lan wangji falls asleep in the middle of the club because wei Wuxian will end up having to carry him all the way home.

This is the moment where he realized his partner can't cook or clean or do any chores at all, and preferred reward over punishment.

"And what kind of reward do you think you deserve?"

Wei Wuxian finishes his drink and when he sets his glass back down his looks at Lan Wangji with a sultry expression. "What kind of reward do I get if I make Lan sect's star pupil break rules? Well of course my reward would be the Lan sect's star pupil."

Because if Lan Wangji manages to break that habit, it means the bedtime goes right out the window and Wei Wuxian can enjoy as many late nights as he wants.

Lan Wangji's heartbeat speeds up, also looking at him with a dazed look. Almost unbelieving him.

"The reward is me?" He can't believe it. But if Wei Wuxian is pulling a trick, knowing his mischievous nature, Lan Wangji happily fell for it. Again and again.

"You got yourself a bet. But if you lose, accept your punishment. It's laundry duty. That's all I ask."

Wei Wuxian hangs his head. He really doesn't want to lose and have to do laundry. He knows the basics but he certainly doesn't know how to do anything with the technology of this world. He's likely to ruin everything but if he has to do it, then he will do it.

"It's a deal."

The outcome of his struggle at the laundromat will be amusing enough. Wangji leans forward, so he can kiss him and taste the alcohol on his lips.

"Not today. For tonight, come to the cinema and watch a movie with me?"

He smiles against those lips, kissing him back briefly before pulling away just long enough to respond, "It's your treat so I'll go anywhere you want me to." Then he returns to the kiss again.

"Anywhere? I have to be creative than in taking you where I want us to go." Taking his hand, he paid his tab and leads him out of the bar. Because there's a lot of things he wanted to do with him and experience in this strange town as they have the entire day free to themselves.

He's leading him to the cinema where there are bright lights and posters of the movies currently playing, remembering he wanted to see a movie about zombies, but there's a variety of movies currently playing.

"Make it a surprise. Don't tell me before we go to each thing." Surprises are more fun and since Wei Wuxian doesn't mind where the destinations are, he will enjoy them more that way.

He looks at each of the posters. Since he's never seen a movie before he doesn't even know what to expect from each of these images. He does recognize the zombie movies the man had discussed but since apparently he is supposed to watch all three in a row, it's not the best of choices for their outing.

"Which one do you want to see?"

"Mn." He kept note to make it surprise and fun for him for their outings, even though he's the more studious and fairly mundane of the two in comparison.

"Which one I want to see?" Looking at him, with humor. "Any movie that doesn't have zombies...?"

Wei Wuxian laughs and nods his head, "Alright. Agreed. How about we just pick one at random and go in? We know that those three..." He points to the three posters in a row at the end, "are the zombie movies. Which means we want to pick from these three."

Most of the movies looks dreadful to him, but then again he has experienced fighting real fierce corpses back home in their past together.

"Wei Wuxian, I let you pick. I won't be scared." Well, if he does get scared at one point, he'll find a good excuse to curl up with him tighter when they returned home.

"Well I don't think these three movies here have anything scary in them." He's studying the posters but he doesn't really know what any of them might be about. Finally he decides to just go with the one in the center and he points to it.

"Let's try this one...'Aladdin' Looks like it has some adventure or something in it."

Pronouncing the title of the movie slowly. "Aladdin." Looking at the poster, it looks like an Arabian story. "Then we'll see that one if it has adventure in it."

Since it has been decided, Lan Wangji takes his hand, and whenever Wei Wuxian decides to enter inside, he follows right after him. He takes out a few bills from his pink pouch to help pay at the clerk at the front desk for tickets, which are given to go further entry into the cinema. There's a smell of buttered popcorn, snacks and candy for sale, and a fountain for drinks.

"Do you want any snacks before we go inside?"

Wei Wuxian looks around and notices that everyone seems to be taking food and drinks in with them. "Looks like we should..everyone else seems to be doing it." He doesn't know much about the food of this world but he's game to try anything.

He sees something on the board that says 'combo' and it looks like it is made for two people to enjoy two drinks and a large bowl of the popcorn. He points at it and looks at Lan Wangji. "Do you want to try that?"

Coming closer to the front desk of concession. "All right. Let's have some." He doesn't mind paying for it. Without saying a word, taking a few bills out of the pouch, he pays for the combo and an assortment of chocolate and candies for sweets, enough for two. He doesn't know much of the food of this world either, but they actually look good to try.

"You carry the drinks while I carry the snacks." Holding the tray of their snacks in his hands.

Wei Wuxian takes the drinks once they are ready and leads the way towards the movie theater that the ticket person said they should go to. The building is a lot bigger then he expected and he pauses just inside the theater, in awe of how many seats there are. Most are empty at that moment so it's easy for him to find a spot. He's not sure where the best place to watch a movie is so he simply selects one that is in the very center of the theater.

"Let's try these!" He plops down in the seat and finds that it is surprisingly comfortable.

Once they entered the dark room of the cinema theatre, they walked passed by the rows of seats. He follows Wei Wuxian through the empty row in the middle, and when he selected his seat, he sat next to him.

"All right." He adjusts the seat. There's a lever on the side and once pulled, the seat reclines slightly back. "Hm, this is all right."

After a while, the lights went out and the moving pictures begin to flicker on the screen as the movie begin to start, and the audio of music and characters on the screen is being played on the overhead speakers. This is something very new to him, coming from an ancient world where pictures are still in books and stories are told in text.

Wei Wuxian's eyes widen as the movie starts and his mouth opens slightly in awe. It's impressive magic to see the action played out on such a large screen. For the first moments of the film he is leaning forward in his seat, as if wanting to get closer to the screen and see how it all works.

But as the movie goes on he slowly relaxes back, eating the popcorn that has an odd but not unpleasant flavor. The bucket is resting on the arms of the seats so that the two of them can enjoy it together. Wei Wuxian is completely absorbed into the movie, never removing his eyes from it.

Lan Wangji was in awe also when the movie start playing. It's like watching a dream, but it looks real with people playing in it. He then figured out the story of the movie, so it's a type of storytelling and theatre.

Lan Wangji eats a bit of popcorn, followed by candy, and chocolate. It's dark and every so often he looks at Wei Wuxian to make sure he's by his side. He eventually figured out the story of the movie and connect. He even managed a smile and laugh at some funny scenes, and then excitement during the dramatic parts.

Sometime, an hour and a half later, the movie is finished and the story is told, and the credits rolled.

"It's finished. The story is very good."

Wei Wuxian nods his agreement. "It was really good. What do you think it would be like if people randomly busted into singing a song in the middle of a fight..or just walking down the street? I don't feel like you'd actually accomplish much."

Pretty sure he would be really distracted. Playing the flute is one thing..but to actually sing a song seems significantly harder to him. And of course this is what he takes from the movie.

"Mn." Lan Wangji simply nodded and agrees with him. "You're right. However, it would be funny if they did." And if Wei Wuxian attempted that, that would be a funny sight if he tried.

Anyway, with them being the only ones in the theatre. "It's getting late. I think I am able to stay up longer."

Lan Wangji is determined to win the bet.

Wei Wuxian stands up and stretches. He knows the other man isn't going to be able to do it tonight. That's going to take some careful practice on his part.

"I guess I better be prepared to carry you home if you can't. But where else would you want to go?"

Lan Wangji will make it his goal to stay up a few hours longer at least. With a stretch, Lan Wangji stood up to stretch. Whatever empty cups and empty tray they have left will go to the rubbish bin.

"No need to carry me, I can walk. There's nowhere as of now to be honest except going home, do chores, and cook dinner for the both of us." Or order take-out from one of the restaurants on the block.

"Ahh..food?" Wei Wuxian flinches a little as he thinks about all the popcorn he just ate. "I don't know how you can possibly still be hungry after eating all that." Wei Wuxian is certainly not, but then he also most likely had way more popcorn then the other man. Once he started he just couldn't stop eating it.
