Maybe a greenhouse would help, one where we grow plants that are harder to find or might run out of in winter. My friend, Makoto-chan, knows a lot about taking care of them and I have asked her to help me learn, too.
That would be a good idea. I have enough yard to build one here but obviously its a little late to start on that kind of project now. Maybe we can plan for that in spring. I can work on building a greenhouse and when you learn about the plants, you can then teach me and we can plant them together.
[It might seem odd to make plans for a future in a place that is never terribly constant as to who stays and goes...but Wei Wuxian doesn't feel like he is close to being able to go home yet.]
Mm! We could do some initial planning now, like what size the greenhouse should be and which plants might be most needed next year. I'm already keeping everything I'm learning about plants in a notebook, so other people can read the notes.
[ Hotaru is here for as long as Usagi is, she doesn't plan to leave before that. Yet she also understands making long-term plans is unusual, hence the notebook that she's written instructions that the book should go to Wei Wuxian's shop if she leaves. ]
Luckily I know a little bit about building things so I should be able to get most of it built but I will probably have to get help with certain parts of it. Maybe someone out there has actual experience with building that kind of structure.
