"Never as long Wei Ying makes it like this." But he smiles regardless. "Take-out food is fine." Considering, the town has been peaceful as of late. As for the monsters roaming late at night, it's nothing his flute can handle.

Scramble eggs and buttered toast, and Lan Wangji pours juice to go with it. But what fills him up more is the love he has for his husband-to-be. So, he figured this is a good time to discuss since marriage and weddings tend to be always a big deal back home. Especially he himself is the head cultivator and sect leader.

"For our wedding? When you do want to be married? I learned next month, the mid-Autumn festival will fall on the first day."

He finishes his eggs and leans back against the chair, "Hm..the first day of October? Yeah..that would be a good day. Seems a little soon. Is it going to be enough time to get everything we need for it?"

He doesn't mind talking about a wedding. It seems only fair that the discussion go that way since they now have rings making it official. He doesn't really know what all goes into a wedding since he hasn't been to one, but he does know they are usually lavish affairs.

Lan Wangji starts on the buttery crunchy toast next. Which he finds, it's really good. "Yes, it's on the first day of October. There is enough time to prepare. I was thinking moon-cakes and lanterns, and a big feast."

Lan Wangji seems pretty casual, "I was thinking to keep it simple in this world, since our family and friends are not here with us. We wear our gowns and it's going to be all red, then make vows to the heavens, to our ancestors, and each other. That's the private ceremony to be married. Then after that, we can have a feast and banquet in the backyard to celebrate, and invite our friends and neighbors to have dinner with us and light the lanterns to send it off."

He listens and nods as he lists off what they will do on that day. It means Lan Wangji is probably going to do all the cooking for this feast unless he trusts someone else to do it. It makes him sad to think they are going to have such a celebration without any of the people they care about around to share it with them. But he knows that is outside of his control.

"Alright. Let's plan for all of that. I'll help with whatever you need me to."

There's a lot of rules and traditions, but Lan Wangji decides to go with simple since his uncle and his brother isn't here to remind him of the rules. This feels like eloping with him, breaking the rules, and to Lan Wangji this excites him.

Being pink to the tip of the ears, "Wei Ying, we're not bounded by rules here. I would like to hear what is your dream wedding of us is like."

"I don't have a dream wedding, Lan Zhan. I never really thought about it. So my dream version is just the one where I get to make my vows with you." That is all he needs and he will be perfectly content with nothing but that if the rest of it can't happen.

Lan Wangji looks at him surprised, but he is really candid about it. Still, he is happy to hear it will be something he is working on. "I can't wait to hear your vows. I think I'll work on it too."

Lan Wangji is very detail and meticulous, so he will make it happen. He hopes on the day it happens, the world doesn't go unstable and chaotic permitted.

For now, he is happy with the meal Wei Ying. "How is your shoulder does it still hurt?"

"It's doing better. The ribs bother me a little more then the shoulder does." Once they had managed to pop the shoulder back in place a lot of the pain had ebbed away. The ribs were definitely cracked though and are still tender at times.

"We just have to keep behaving ourselves and not do anything to aggravate our injuries." He looks at the other man amused, knowing that this is the longest stretch they have gone where they haven't been particularly intimate.

"I read in the medic books at the college. It will take about a month or two to heal." But it will heal. Somehow, resting in his house helps with the healing. He doesn't quite trust the creepy hospital after the first visit, even though it works, but the painkilling medicine helps.

"Mn. I've been behaving. Have you?" Lan Wangji own's injuries have been healing by the week, but still hobbling around the house.

"Yuck..that's a long time to behave." But they can manage it. As long as the world doesn't through anything too rough at them. "I know how to behave, Lan Zhan. Even if I don't like to."

"Mn. I like it when you misbehave." He whispered as he reaches over to give him a quick kiss at the corner of his lips. "Mm."

With their meal finished, "I'll take that medicine and have that drink." Both combinations sound good to help with pain.

He smiles and stands up, collecting their plates and setting them in the sink to be dealt with later. "A soak in the hot tub might help too." It always seems to make the aches feel a little better. He has taken several dips into it to try and ease some of the soreness out of his shoulder. His ribs relying more on the painkillers to really forget about them.

Lan Wangji slowly stands up. He appreciates Wei Ying's help and his thoughtfulness. "A soak in the hot tub sound nice." He tried it and it works to soothe his pain and aches.

"Shall we go and bathe together?" He's looking forward to spend time with him, and soak in the hot tub for hours. In the meanwhile, he helps himself to the painkiller medicines and wash it down with cold water. His pain has ebbed away, so now it's sore in his body everywhere as he tries to heal.

"Alright. I could certainly go for a little hot tub break." The hot tub's best quality is it's ability to be able to soothe away their aches and pains. It's far better for relaxing in then just a typical bath tub and a lot more fun then a lake. He has enjoyed it a few times since it appeared at their house.

"Mn. Hot tub break. I will prepare." Lan Wangji begin to like to soak in the hot-tube. He rose and hobbles to the bathroom. It's aches when he walks, but he goes to the bathtub to turn it on. He marvels in wonder when it fills up quickly. He then throws several bathbombs to make it smell like roses and flowers, and the hot tub got steamy and bubbly in no time.

Just need glasses of Emperor smiles for a drink to go with it as he pours and leave it on the edge of the tub within easy reach, and he finds himself undressed to slip into the tub.

Wei Wuxian finishes up in the kitchen and then comes into the hot tub area. He carefully removes the ring from his finger and sets it in a safe place. Not wanting to take the chance of it getting lost or damaged in the water. Then he strips down and walks over to the tub, climbing inside to settle across from Lan Wangji in the water.

He lowers himself down with a content sigh as the water already starts to make those sore bones feel better.

Lan Wangji sat stoically as the jet streams pounds and massage at his weary body. When Wei Ying joins him, he swims over and hands Wei Ying his cup of Emperor smiles while holding his own in the other hand.

"Wei Ying. Drink. For you and me. I'll drink with you. A toast to our proposal."

"Lan Zhan, if you drink this you aren't allowed to pass out. Hot water and alcohol can be a bad mix and I won't be able to fish you out of this tub."

He does take the drink though since he knows that he will be able to handle it, especially since it is only one cup of it. And holds it up to toast.

"Wei Ying, back at the festival..." He trails off, not wanting to admit he tried some drugs and got high to experiment with his music. "I can handle it. Just one cup."

He makes a toast, and then slowly sips his cup. He didn't drink it down all at once, but slowly in tentative sips. Miraculously, he still sitting up, so he must have developed a tolerance. Reminiscing, "Tastes like home. It has been long. How about you? How is yours taste?"

He drinks his much faster, enjoying the familiar taste as a little escapes down the side of his mouth. He sighs happily as he lowers it back down. "It's been a long time since I've gotten to taste it, but it tastes just like it always has. Nothing beats it."

And now he has a never ending jug of it so he won't ever have to worry about forgetting what the taste of it is like. ANd Lan Wangji doesn't have to tell him about the festival. He tried enough things there to understand.

He sets the cup down. "That's good. I'm glad you're enjoying it." After that, he closes his eyes and relaxes in the hot tub, and for once, he's grateful they both have it and leans on him to relax while soaking into the hot tub and just enjoying the hot water and the buzz that follows.

He lays his head against Lan Wangji's and closes his eyes as well. Content to just quietly enjoy the water and soak away the remainder of their aches. He finds Lan Wangji's hand in the water and takes it in his own.

He closes his eyes and sinks into the tub. The water is quite hot and comfortable. Feeling his body close is a comfort as he curls up with him beneath the bubbling water. He gently squeezes his hand back as they float and soak.

"I'm happy you chose me to be your husband." He said quietly and kisses his cheek as he felt the warmth of the drink tingling and a flush rush to his pale cheeks.

"There is no one else I'd rather have at my side for eternity." Perhaps he always knew it was Lan Wangji who he wanted to stand with, protect and never be away from again. It just took him a long time to realize it. Far longer then the other man had.

"Forever Wei Ying, do you truly mean that? I had been a thorn on your side sometimes." There are painful parts in their lives in their past together. But he stood by his side because he never gave up on him. But from pain, blossomed, it's love and he had waited. There's nobody else. Even going against the rules and his elders just to keep him.

He felt his sincerity and is touched by him. "But you truly make me happy." He kisses him on the cheek and on the corner of his lips, and kisses him some more, pouring his affection.
