• Additional Adjustments to include: He was married in Deerington to the man that was his soulmate on his own world. Although they had difficult times they were able to withstand them because they were together. He never realized how he felt about Lan Wangji until they were together in Deerington and so he is grateful to that other world for a lot of things. He never thought he would be capable of love or that anyone would love him back because of the things he had done. So to be able to have a life like that even in an odd place as helped his heart to heal from some of the hardship he endured back home.
He also died twice while he was there, but again was alongside his husband for both times. He hopes to never had to experience death again but knows that these other worlds are not always the kindest. Even though he has technically come back to life three times because of the 16 years he was missing from his own world before being called by through Mo Xuanyu sacrificing himself, he hardly felt what it was like to die until he did so in Deerington. And also those were the first times he died when he really wanted to live instead. That kind of realization is a shift in how he thought about things sixteen years ago. he sacrificed himself willingly to try to leave the pain of what he had done behind and so that the world would no longer have to deal with the darkness he was capable of bringing. Now he wants nothing more then to live.
He stood on trial for the crimes he committed on his own world and was found guilty but learned more about himself and knows not to feel like they were his fault. This was thanks to the support that Lan Wangji, Xue Yang and others gave him during the trail. he never realized that so many people were there to stand by his side when he has always felt like he was taking on the world alone.
Chapter 2 Attributes
• Canon Powers: He will have his canon abilities in the game and they will blend with his blood abilities. These are listed on his original Deerington application.
• Blood Type: Darkblood
• Omen: Raven
• Blessed Day: October 31
• Patron Pthumerian: Cloverfield. He is going to feel an almost strange sense of familiarity with Cloverfield. As someone who has known homesickness, loneliness and all of the attributes that this Pthumerian has...he knows that this is the most fitting of the Patrons for him. He will wish he could help Cloverfield in some way and will gladly stand by his side. He is going to be taking a very big interest in the Pthumerians and finding out if all of them match the people as well as Cloverfield seems to match him, or if there is just some sort of odd fate that has drawn them together.
• Blood Power Manifestation: The ability to move things with his mind is going to be a new and strange power for him. Generally he is very adapt at learning new things, having taught himself how to use Demonic Cultivation. So he will be able to master at least part of the ability rather quickly but probably won't use it much. Since he is going to have a hard time trusting this world and anything that it gives to him, he is going to hold back on using something that he doesn't fully understand. Over time he will grow more willing to use it if it becomes absolutely necessary to do so. It will meld well with his normal abilities because he will be able to summon things through both music and his mind. He won't be able to alter time at all and any attempt he makes to figure out how to use this type of manifestation will only end badly for him. Unfortunately he is also stubborn so even though he is going to fail, he will constantly be trying to figure out how to make it work.

AU Background
Earth AU
Earth AU Age: 23
Earth Profession Performer/Host at The Lotus Club

History: Wuxian was orphaned as a child and spent most of his time in and out of foster homes. He wasn't a troubled youth but he was rambunctious and had liked to get into mischief, which meant he never really found a family that could keep up with him. But he also knew how to work hard, and was a genius when it came to schooling or skills. He could do just about any job or task you put in front of him. But his tendency to question authority often landed him in detention. But his grades were good so he was on a fast track to any school he could possibly have wanted. But for him, he had no interest in continuing his education. His free spirit and wild ways couldn't handle being contained into a classroom for another four years. Not when he already believed he knew everything he could possibly need to survive and felt like he could out wit any other human on the planet.
So instead of jumping into college, he went straight to looking for work. He had held small odd jobs throughout school and had saved up enough money to survive on his own once he aged out of the foster system. He had been doing his legwork, with making friends and contacts all over the city so that when the time came for him to become a member of the working class, he would be able to jump right in. And so after only a few days of looking, he landed the kind of job he knew would give him the freedom to have fun, while also enjoying some of the excitement of being an honest worker.
That is, if you can call working at a club an honest job. Some might look down on the work or say that he could do better with his intelligence, but Wuxian wasn't looking to be locked in an office all day. He needed that free spirit life, and club life was just that. He started off as a dancer, backup at first until the owners saw just what he could do. So he got moved up to main performer, singing and dancing each night for a nice wage and even nicer tips. It wasn't erotic dancing or anything of the sort. Wuxian was talented enough to be a legit performer and so he got quite the fanbase to the point where the club decided to sell merchandise with his face on it. He could have become famous and rich if he wanted, but again, that wasn't his style.
Once he reached drinking age, Wei Wuxian became an all around man at the club. Performer, bartender, waiter or just plain host. He could go from table to table and talk to anyone in the room, making them feel like they were the most important person in the universe. The money was good, Wei Wuxian had his days off to do whatever he wanted and had made enough friends and contacts in the world to be able to get away with murder if he so chose. But that also came with its share of haters as well. When boyfriends and husbands found out that their women were going out every night to see a playboy perform, or sit with him and have a few drinks, Wei Wuxian's life became a little more dangerous. But being popular means he also made friends with all the biggest and strongest employees in the club and bouncers know to keep an eye on their star. If trouble starts brewing, they are quick to jump in and get him out of a sticky situation.
That free lifestyle means he isn't afraid to sleep with whomever he is attracted to at the moment. He is flirtatious and not afraid to drape himself over someone to tease them or have some fun.
But then one day everything changed and suddenly he was having these dreams. The first one came during the day. Struck him while walking to work. A fire and people dying. It was terrible and apparently it was the start of his new life. Memories of a past life or an alternate version of himself starting plaguing him. He became known as a "Different" by the Bureau that was in charge of monitoring these activities. But information was not very easy to obtain from the Bureau and so all he could do was learn from other Different and bond with them oer the experiences.
He started to get used to things until the powers started. Abilities that he didn't even know hot to control were suddenly his. He could hear spirits everywhere, sometimes so loud that he would get terrible headaches. He could turn plane paper into talismans just by drawing some symbols he didn't understand onto them. ANd then he started to be able to summon spirits. It's all overwhelming and he still doesn't quite understand what to do with them.
He also was given a flute that he has seen in his memories but hasn't dared to use. He knows that nothing good can come from it thanks to what he has seen in those dreams. He stopped going home with strangers because he never knew when there would be a dream that would wake him up in a cold sweat. He has started to tone down some of his more wild tendencies and spends more of his time with other Different instead of trying to explain these strange powers to the regular populace.
During the day he often sleeps late, keeping a pretty regular schedule of sleeping at 3AM and waking at 10AM. Then his days are spent either lounging at home, working out, or trying to figure out these new abilities he has gained.

Personality:Much like his canon counterpart, Wuxian is energetic and mischievous and constantly challenging authority. He likes to stir up trouble and see just how far he can push someone before they want to punish him in some way. He is a skilled drinker that almost seems to never get drunk, or at least is very good at hiding it. Able to drink an entire night away without ever feeling a hangover the next day. He also loves to flirt with whomever he can and that is often how he makes his best money. Women pay to be able to spend time with him, drink with him and just enjoy his company. And sometimes so do the men. Wuxian likes them both equally and enjoys living life to the fullest.
Despite his vices, Wuxian has a big heart and once you have become a member of his very select inner circle, he would die for you. He doesn't like seeing anyone get hurt and even though he is more of a lover then a fighter, he won't hesitate to take someone down if they physically or emotionally abuse a person in front of him. He doesn't take kindly to those that want to pick on someone weaker. But despite that he doesn't just let anyone become completely close to him. Because he never really had a family to love him, he in turn has a hard time just trusting someone enough to let them truly into his heart. So he has never been in love, despite loving his friends to the depths of his core.
Highly intelligent and fully aware of that fact and how good looking he is, Wuxian has a bit of an ego and likes to show off. He's a natural performer and all that confidence really shines when he is on stage. He loves the attention and will often do things or pick fights with people just so he can show off just how smart he is. He isn't just book smart, but also street smart with an overall wisdom of the world that makes him hard to beat when it comes to a match of wits. Tack on that he also knows he looks good with his shirt off and you have a dangerous combination.
Physical description: Same as canon only with short hair instead of long.

Canon Point: End of series with CRAU from Tramitem
Background: Fandom Wiki This is the only really good Character history for Wei Wuxian even though it follows closer to the novel timeline. Here is a specific wiki for the overall history of The Untamed. Because I'm apping from the drama, but his character history I linked is for the novel I wanted to make a few distinguishes between the two just so it is clear since neither history really goes into these differences.
There are several main differences between the genres even though the underlying story is the same. Most of it has to deal with the timelines and the fact that Chinese censorship laws meant that all the boy-love aspects of the novel/web-comic had to be removed. So although there is a feel in the show that the two main characters are close, you don't ever see any of the more physical aspects of their relationship in the drama. The biggest divergence in plot between "The Untamed" and "Mo Dao Zu Shi" is in the middle of both and involves how Wei Wuxian dies and is reincarnated.
In the drama he throws himself off the side of the mountain after he loses control of the spirits and his sister dies. No one is every able to find him or his body in the area below but it is assumed he has died. In the novel, Lan Wangji takes him away from the mountain and tries to help him, healing him and fighting against his own sect in order to do so. Jiang Cheng then led the First Siege of the Burial Mounds that resulted in the slaughter of the Qishan Wen Sect remnants and it was then that Wei Wuxian died from spiritual backlash.
Which brings in the second major difference between the mediums. In "The Untamed" when Wei Wuxian is reincarnated, he retains the same appearance as he did when he died. He has no knowledge as to what happened in the 16 years he was gone, as to whether he actually died or has just been missing. All he really can figure out is that Mo Xuanyu was able to summon his spirit into this new body. Because he still retains his same appearance he wears a mask to hide his identity. However, in the novel Wei Wuxian's body is Mo Xuanyu and so his appearance and everything is that of the body he inhabits. He has to take on all the characteristics of that man, even the rumors of him being gay, in order to try fool people into believing he is still Mo Xuanyu. Which is why it is so odd to him that Lan Wangji was able to realize it is him so early in the novel.
CRAU: Wei Wuxian is coming from Tramitem which was a Modern Day New York City. In this game they had to regain their canon memories over time and so he had no idea about any of his past until he got his first memory while on the way to work one day. From that point on he had to learn how to deal with these memories and met others that had to go through the same thing. They were all known as "Different" by the Bureau that was over them. they were never given any information as to why this was happening. Over time he also started to gain possessions from this other life as well as powers and abilities he had no idea how to use. The more he remembered, the more powers he gained and had to slowly figure out how to use them without them taking him over.
It's been a very stressful eight months as he has endured learning all about this other version of himself. It has driven him to drinking a bit more then he should and he spends many nights simply walking the city and trying to clear his head from all the voices that want to try and take over his mind. Normally he works as a singer and dancer at a club in downtown New York, but he has slowly been cutting back his time there because he is never sure when he will feel the powers taking hold of him. He is far more stressed out then he has ever been in his life, but he still manages to put on the airs that he is as carefree and happy as he has ever been. He knows how to hide how he is really feeling.
His appearance is not much different from his memories of the past. The only difference is his hair is short and always styled. he dresses in brighter colors then the all black and red ensembles he has seen his other self always in. He is also younger by a couple years from what he can gather in the memories.
I have his entire Earth AU childhood listed on his Tramitem Application if you need his entire background leading up to the events in game.
Personality: In his canon Wei Wuxian is energetic and mischievous. He is often seen drinking or flirting with whomever he could. This is true even in the CRAU version of him who likes to stir up trouble and see just how far he can push someone before they want to punish him in some way. Wei Wuxian likes them both equally and enjoys living life to the fullest.
In canon, he would break rules just because he could, despite knowing he would be punished severely for them. On his first night at Cloud Recesses he broke several rules including bringing alcohol into the sect, coming in after curfew and fighting. There were numerous occasions where these particular rules were difficult for him to keep in tact. There was even one point where not only did he manage to get himself and his friends into trouble, but also pulled Lan Wangji into their punishment with him when he controlled the other man and forced him to drink alcohol, breaking a sect rule which was something Lan Wangji would never do.
But despite being very carefree, Wei Wuxian has a very strong heart. Wei Wuxian cares deeply for those he loves and will do anything to protect them. His selflessness is so strong and true that he even gave up his own Golden Core and had it transplanted into his sworn brother Jiang Cheng after Jiang Cheng's own core had been melted. During the transplant, Wei Wuxian endured the entire operation awake and without pain medication for two nights and one day. He never told his brother what he did and lived with that secret for a long time. Living without a Golden Core meant he could no longer follow the path of the cultivator without using the dark arts and despite that he still went through with it because he knew how much it would crush Jiang Cheng to be a normal human.
Intelligent and inventive, Wei Wuxian openly inquired to Lan Qiren whether there was a way to utilize resentful energy instead of suppressing it. This way of thinking is frowned upon in the Cultivating world and once again had him kicked out and punished by the leader of the Lan sect. He has always been one to look at things in a different light then most people and challenging what others have always felt was the right path, constantly looking for alternatives. Once he found himself thrown into the Burial Mounds without his golden core, he mastered Demonic Cultivation as a means to survive in that place. He was surrounded by nothing but resentful spirits for three months and in order to keep himself from being consumed and killed within that space, with no golden core to help him, he learned everything he could through self teaching. He emerged from the Burial Mounds three months later as a different person who was capable of massacring an entire supervisory office by just using music and the spirits in the area. Because of the anger and revenge in his heart from what the Wen Clan did, he felt no remorse as he used his skills to punish everyone that was involved with destroying the home he had known most of his life.
Wei Wuxian has a strong sense of justice and a desire to protect the innocent no matter who they are or what they had done in the past. As a result of his sense of justice, however, he was at times capable of ruthlessness: torturing Wen Chao to death for his role in the massacre of Lotus Pier being the most gruesome of his methods. He also used Demonic Cultivation to have members of the Qishan Wen Sect killed by the corpses of their own families and friends when he was taking his revenge. He also used the dead Wen sect members that had been imprisoned by the Jin sect to kill the ones who had killed them, which included Wen Ning whom he was able to turn into a Fierce Corpse. Eventually, using the Stygian Tiger Seal, he battled three thousand cultivators that at one time he had stood next to on the battle field when they were taking down the Wen sect during the Sunshot Compaign. Because of the use of the Demonic Cultivation, his mind is often overwhelmed by the dark energy and the sounds of the spirits talking. There are times when he would be in a place and he couldn't concentrate because the spirits were just too loud. Lan Wangji was often worried that the dark cultivation methods would taint his heart and his mind, but Wei Wuxian was adamant that he could control them. However, it became clear that he couldn't always suppress the dark urges and at times he did lose control of the spirits he thought he was in control of. This was most evident when the anger and betrayal he felt became too great at Nevernight City.
Nevertheless, Wei Wuxian is more than capable of expressing regret and admitting his faults and often feels guilty about his actions and how they have affected others. Because of how he sees the world his beliefs and how he conducts himself is often against everyone else, he finds himself always ending up as the villain in their eyes and everyone takes out what is wrong or bad with the world and blame it on him. And he accepts that and lets people cast him as the bad guy even though most of the stories and rumors they have created are lies or exaggerations over the truth. He feels haunted by the death of his sister and her husband, blaming himself for losing control of the spirits and Wen Ning, the puppet he created, and causing their deaths. The remorse and despair he felt for causing such a travesty is part of why he decided to kill himself, freeing the world from the monster that was created through the dark arts. He threw himself off a cliff to end his life, never expecting to rise up again and even after he was reinstated, those feelings of guilt still remained.
Weaknesses/Temptations: Wei Wuxian is tempted by booze, sex and having fun. If he was told he had to give up on those things he probably would tell someone that life wasn't worth living. He is a performer and a flirt and working in a night club was exactly the kind of job that fit him the best.
Wei Wuxian's greatest weakness is his emotions. He cares too deeply and that often gets him hurt. He is often very self sacrificing and will give up himself to protect the people he cares about. He doesn't see getting hurt to be important as long as the ones he loves are protected. This means that in canon he has found himself to be hurt on many occasions. Not to mention he has very little care for rules or decorum which often gets him in trouble. Many times he questions authority just because he wants to, or will break a rule just out of boredom. Physical weakness is he is just a normal human and his body is weak and made more so by the use of the demonic cultivation that often infects the mind and the heart. In canon he is deeply terrified of dogs which will start to effect his AU self as the memories get fully returned to him. This is from a childhood experience where he would have to fight with dogs for food because he was alone on the streets. And so he became very afraid of dogs and always runs away and hides when he sees or hears one.
Sins:
-Lust
-Gluttony
-Pride
-Envy
-Greed
-Murder in past life
-Torture in past life
-Suicide in past life
-Wrath in past life
Powers/Abilities:
Paper Metamorphosis: dangerous dark arts technique that allows him to affix his soul to a piece of paper and it can travel around with his consciousness while his body remains empty and immobile. What makes this dangerous is if the paper gets destroyed, so will his soul. There is a time limit that he has to getting back into his own body.
Empathy: The mastery of this ability allows Wei Wuxian to view the memories someone by entering their mind and seeing what they saw through their eyes. This means he also feels everything that they did as they felt it, which can be difficult on the body. If he doesn't get released from Empathy by another person he could become lost.
Hearing: because of his use of Demonic Cultivation, Wei Wuxian possesses a unique ability to hear nearby spirits. He can become overwhelmed by just how loud a place can be when there are many spirits in one spot.
Musical Abilities/Demonic Cultivation: He uses the flute to summon and control evil spirits, ghosts, puppets and undead by manipulating the resentful energy of the area and the creatures
Spirit-Attraction: Can be used as a flag or drawn on any surface including oneself and is capable of attracting any creature holding resentful energy within a certain radius with the flag/person being the primary target of their aggression.
Talismans: Wei Wuxian has been able to utilize a wide variety talismans. For instance, he demonstrated a spell to create small butterflies made of light, the ability to freeze people with and without a talisman, and scour areas for spiritual abnormalities. Additionally, he demonstrated the ability to begin a fire from his own blood during his fight against the Tortoise of Slaughter.
Fierce Corpses: Because of demonic cultivation, Wei Wuxian has the ability to create fierce corpses out of the dead. They can be used to attack whomever he wants them to through the use of Chenqing. In some cases he is able to give them their mental consciousness back so that they behave like normal people, but when needed can be controlled into serving him. In order to control them he has to have been the one to make them so they recognize him as their master.
Items: Chenqing (flute), A painting set, sword called Suibian, A sparkly blue sequins jacket
