Hello, sensei! I have a customer for you that I'll be bringing by the shop soon. He seems to be a Paleblood and dislikes that he's glowing. It doesn't seem to be harmful, but he appeared upset about it.

Hmmm...Interesting dilemma to have. I can certainly give it a try to make it go away. I have been playing with a few new treatments for things.

Even making the glowing less noticeable may be enough, since he could cover up the rest with clothing. It's a strange one to want to go away, but I'm sure he has his reasons.

What sort of ingredients were you thinking about for this month?

Glowing can be dangerous depending on his occupation. It could draw unwanted attention.

[Or it could be simple vanity. He's not one to judge.]

I'm starting to experiment with adding some of the other flora from this place. I'm thinking if I infuse some of the more native plants into the tea that we might not typically consider it might prove useful for certain ailments. But because winter is coming quickly I'm having to go daily to collect as much as I can before it all dies for the season.

It could. When I first met him, he didn't have a job yet, but that was a while ago.

Maybe a greenhouse would help, one where we grow plants that are harder to find or might run out of in winter. My friend, Makoto-chan, knows a lot about taking care of them and I have asked her to help me learn, too.

That would be a good idea. I have enough yard to build one here but obviously its a little late to start on that kind of project now. Maybe we can plan for that in spring. I can work on building a greenhouse and when you learn about the plants, you can then teach me and we can plant them together.

[It might seem odd to make plans for a future in a place that is never terribly constant as to who stays and goes...but Wei Wuxian doesn't feel like he is close to being able to go home yet.]

Mm! We could do some initial planning now, like what size the greenhouse should be and which plants might be most needed next year. I'm already keeping everything I'm learning about plants in a notebook, so other people can read the notes.

[ Hotaru is here for as long as Usagi is, she doesn't plan to leave before that. Yet she also understands making long-term plans is unusual, hence the notebook that she's written instructions that the book should go to Wei Wuxian's shop if she leaves. ]

Luckily I know a little bit about building things so I should be able to get most of it built but I will probably have to get help with certain parts of it. Maybe someone out there has actual experience with building that kind of structure.

[He understands construction but green houses have a very specific purpose and he doesn't know much about glass.]

I'm sure there is someone who knows. A lot of people around here seem to be pretty handy and greenhouses are fairly common where I'm from.

[ So they can definitely ask around about it, when they're more ready for that. ]

And in the months leading up to that I can continue to experiment and see what kind of plants we should put inside of it.

[Lots of prep to do in meantime. They will work hard towards this new goal.]

Hm! Sounds like we'll have plenty of work over the winter season.

We do! It's good to stay busy.

[Especially in a place that can be difficult if you have too much time to sit around.]
