How strange is it that hell has allowed him more intimacy than his own world?
The second remark Wuxian makes has him cant his head, a smile forming on his lips -- both touched and honored Wuxian would have given this thought. ]
It's a name that comes with a story. So they first thing that came to mind when you said that was 'Suibian'. You see, apparently in this other life I had, my sword's name was Suibian.
[He tries to remember the memory where he learned about the sword. He pauses for a second so that he is sure to get it right.]
In this other life, everyone had a sword that was connected to them. So it was their job to name that particular sword. Well when it was being made, they asked the other me what to name it. And he said 'Whatever'. Well...when he got the sword from the maker the word 'Suibian' was carved into it.
And Suibian means 'whatever'. Sounds a little more fun then just calling you whatever.
[ Tech raises a brow when Wuxian begins his story about a sword. Really? He's going to name him after his sword? Does he expect him to be some kind of ancient weapon? But as the story goes on, it makes more sense. And by the end of it, a smile curves on his lips. He can appreciate Wuxian being a cheeky bastard, even in the past. ]
Suibian, huh? I like it. Has a nice ring to it. And sounds good coming off the tip of your tongue. [ It might sound even better if Wuxian was screaming it -- but ahem. Tech won't say that aloud. ]
I assume the sword served your past self well...

Are you able to fight with a sword now? I mean, do you think you'd retain the muscle memory from the past? Kinda like with the flute?
It seemed to but then apparently he gave up a piece of himself which made him unable to use it. Or...well I guess he could still use it but for some reason it wasn't as effective? I don't know...one of those complicated parts of the memories that was hard to understand.
[But could probably get cleared up if he asked one of the those people who apparently knew that former version of himself. Might be something to consider. Since...he has the sword here and has just been hiding it in his room.]
I've never actually tried to use it. didn't want to cut my own leg off or something. The flute's name is Chenqing. It means something like...setting forth one's thoughts and explaining one's actions.
